Alex Morgan, the soccer star, displayed her finest self this Halloween with a classic yet eye-catching costume.
Several athletes got into the Halloween spirit, and Morgan certainly joined in. She involved her family in the celebrations.
Alongside a few others, they recreated the famous “Spiderman pointing meme” that has been trending on social media platforms.
“Had to let Ghost Spider have her moment,” Morgan tweeted.
Morgan, a two-time World Cup champion and key player for San Diego Wave FC, was part of the USWNT that faced elimination in the Women’s World Cup held in Melbourne. Longtime rivals Sweden defeated them in a penalty shoot-out.
For the first time in the tournament’s nine editions, the four-time champions failed to reach the semi-finals.
With the Olympics in Paris approaching in just nine months, the U.S. women’s national team must regroup, and Morgan could play a crucial role in that recovery.
