Nottingham Forest’s qualification for the Champions League would be “absolutely incredible,” stated captain Morgan Gibbs-White after they matched Arsenal’s points tally in the Premier League.
Gibbs-White found the net against his old team Wolves during Forest’s 3-0 victory, marking their sixth consecutive win and bringing their total points to 40.
Currently, they sit six points behind leaders Liverpool—whom they will face next week—and appear well-positioned to seriously contend for a top-four finish.

The triumph at Molineux coincided with the 50th anniversary of Brian Clough’s appointment, during which he led Forest to win the European Cup twice in 1979 and 1980.
Although Forest has participated in the UEFA Cup on three occasions since claiming the title, they have never competed in the Champions League.
“It would be absolutely incredible,” Gibbs-White remarked. “There will be a few fans who might get to experience it twice.”

“To give them that opportunity again is what we aspire to as a club,” he continued. “The owner believes in this vision, and we do too. We must take it one match at a time, remaining calm and humble.”
‘The city will be happy’
Manager Nuno Espirito Santo expressed his joy following the win against his former team but emphasized that there is still much work ahead.
He stated: “We haven’t accomplished anything yet; we need to keep pushing until the end, which can lead us to positive outcomes. My ambition remains consistent. Our coaching staff is naturally driven to enhance the players, which is our obsession.”
“If we improve the players, the team will elevate, and if the team elevates, then the club will benefit, and that will bring happiness to the city.”
