Tom Brady has sent a message to the U.S. Women’s National Team ahead of their attempt to successfully retain their World Cup title.
The former NFL quarterback ranks among the most successful athletes in sports history, having claimed seven Super Bowl victories throughout a remarkable career with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With the American women’s soccer team aiming to make history, the GOAT has shared motivational words. The USWNT has won the last two World Cups and is one tournament away from becoming the first squad to attain three consecutive championships.
Brady has offered his encouragement to the women as they prepare for the tournament, while somewhat wistfully noting that he never achieved three back-to-back titles.
“Team USA is getting ready to accomplish something I was never able to achieve, a three-peat,” he stated in a video released by Fox Soccer. “I just wanted to give a shoutout to our team as they chase a third straight World Cup. We’re all right here supporting you from home.”
Meanwhile, the 45-year-old has a new romantic companion, as it has been widely reported that he’s entered into a relationship with Russian model Irina Shayk following his breakup with Gisele Bundchen.
The former quarterback was seen getting cozy with Shayk by paparazzi over the weekend, having picked her up from a hotel on at least two different occasions.
